FEES & INSURANCE
I know that starting therapy can feel daunting, and can feel like a big investment.
Because that’s just what it is: an investment in yourself.
Is it time to prioritize yourself?
-
Individual Therapy: $150 for a 50 minute session.
EMDR: $200 for 60-minute sessions. -
I am in network with BCBS and Aetna.
Please note that I won’t get confirmation on copays/deductibles until your insurance files your first claim (this could take several weeks). What you will pay for session depends entirely on your insurance, copay, deductible, etc. If you have specific questions about what’s covered, I recommend that you call your insurance carrier.
-
I can accept all major credit/deibt cards, as well as FSA/HSAs. Clients are expected to keep a current card on file.
If you wish to use insurance that I am not in network with, I can provide invoices and Superbills for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
The full fee will be due at time of service.
-
There is a cancellation fee equal to $100 if you no-show or cancel with less than 24 hours notice.
All sessions are non-transferable and non-refundable.
-
I love that insurance makes therapy more accessible, and I am happy to be an in-network provider. However, there are important considerations to to be made regarding your privacy if you want to use your insurance. I would like you make an informed decision, so here are some things you should know about using insurance for therapy:
- A formal diagnosis is required and will become a permanent part of your medical record.
- Certain diagnoses may have an impact on future insurance benefits, including disability.
- Insurance companies can dictate what type of therapies they will pay for, how many sessions you can have, and whether or not you meet their criteria for on-going sessions.
- It is possible that your insurance could request some of your therapy records, so they can see if treatment is considered “medically necessary.”
The only way to guarantee 100% confidential treatment without restriction and no diagnosis is to be a private pay client.
For many people, using insurance feels perfectly fine and has no impact. However, I seek to be transparent about what this could potentially mean for your privacy.
Committing to therapy and choosing the right therapist to share your story with is a big deal.
That’s why I offer an obligation-free discovery call so that you can get more clarity before making any decisions.
